This vacancy is open to current employees of the federal Judiciary and/or applicants who live in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan commuting area.
The Records Section provides nationwide records management technical guidance, policy analysis/development, and operations support. The Records Section administers the Judiciary Records Management program, which provides coordination, clearance, and submission of records to the National Archives and Records Administration (ARA), schedules records in judiciary systems currently lacking disposition authority, monitors the cost and nationwide use of Federal Records Centers' services, performs cyclical records assessments, and monitors technology, best practices, and statutory changes pertaining to the discipline of records management. The incumbent's duties include, but are not limited to:
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Applicants must have demonstrated experience as listed below. This requirement is according to the AO Classification, Compensation, and Recruitment Systems which include interpretive guidance and reference to the OPM Operating Manual for Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions.
Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of this position. Specialized experience is demonstrated ability to support the development and application of information retention policies to support the administration of a national records program within a government or public organization.
Selective Factors: Applicants must have demonstrated experience using the following systems:
Archives and Records Centers Information System (ARCIS)
National Archives and Records Administration, Electronic Records Archives (ERA) system
