    This position is located in the Training Division, Office of Protection Services (OPS. The employee is responsible for all aspects of planning and daily operations in the areas of OPS training and professional development for all OPS Staff; approving and coordinating all training needs associated with professional development; and identifying and assessing competencies to guide training needs.

    • Leads the development, implementation and management of a comprehensive training and professional development plan to address human capital needs for the Office of Protection Services (OPS) staff at the Smithsonian
    • Plans, coordinates, manages, and analyzes the administration of the OPS training and development activities that are responsive to the immediate and long-term needs and goals of the Smithsonian.
    • Develops procedures and systems for assessing the effectiveness of programs and management/organizational processes through interaction with managers and employees.
    • Serves as focal point and liaison for OPS on policy and procedural matters related to the OPS training programs.
