    Responsibilities

    The Procurement and Automation Technician holds certification by the Pharmacy Technician
    Certification Board (PTCB). S/he works independently utilizing knowledge of job equirements, published manuals, policies, and directives; consulting supervisors when directions is unclear. S/he exercises judgment on matters of inventory management and procurement, and makes daily decisions related to fund control point administration, inventory control, and general operating issues. S/he plans and carries out successive steps necessary to make purchases, and uses accepted practices and procedures to resolve problems. Review of work in progress by the supervisor is minimal. S/he is responsible for consistent production and reliable availability of medication packaged and dispensed by automation equipment in both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy settings. Spends approximately 25% of time in procurement, and 75% of time in automation activities.

    Work Schedule: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; Monday-Friday with occasional nights, weekends, and holidays
