    Summary

    The Nurse Practitioner (Compensation & Pension) examines patients and establishes medical diagnoses. Orders, performs and interprets labs, radiographic and other diagnostic tests appropriately. The incumbent completes VA disability examinations (Compensation and Pension exams) and reports in accordance with the National VA guidelines.

    Responsibilities

    • Assessment and evaluation of a comprehensive range of healthcare problems
    • Informing and educating the Veterans in understanding the scope of the disability claims
    • Performing Separation Health Assessment Examinations (SHA)
    • Communicates and treats Customers (Veterans, their Representatives, Visitors, all VA Staff and other constituents in accordance with the professional standards of the facility
    • Establishing medical diagnoses
    • Orders and interpret labs, radiographic and other diagnostic tests

    Work Schedule: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday
