    About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.

    Responsibilities

    • Serves as a senior intelligence specialist focused on management and oversight of full-cycle of human intelligence (HUMINT) collection operations.
    • Develops concepts, proposals, plans, and serves as technical subject-matter authority on the execution of HUMINT operational activities.
    • Manages and oversees HUMINT operations to ensure operational, legal, and regulatory requirements are met.
    • Directs operational personnel in the employment of tactics, techniques, and procedures during the development of operational proposals.
    • Establishes and maintains direct liaison activities and coordination with key military leaders, staff, and Intelligence Community officials to ensure intelligence requirements are successfully processed and satisfied.
    • Represents the organization in HUMINT related actions at headquarters and with partner organizations.
    • Prepares and presents briefings, organizes and participates in conferences, and prepares written reports and guidance.

    Travel Required

    50% or less - You may be expected to travel up to 30% of the time for this position.
