    About the Position: Serves as a Protocol Assistant with the 1st Infantry Division planning regularly scheduled official and social functions such as the monthly Retirement Ceremony, Changes of Command, and Victory with Honor Ceremonies.

    • Assists Protocol Officer in planning, coordinating and executing all other official and social functions hosted by members of the Command Group.
    • Maintain protocol rosters; determining guest lists, proper attire, social courtesies, sequence of events, and seating and room arrangements; composing, preparing and mailing invitations; and receiving and compiling a list of RSVP responses.
    • Arranges for billeting, tours of local facilities, and pertinent ceremonies and social functions.
    • Coordinates various requirements for escort and project officers, band, transportation and orderly service.
    • Assigns work, sets priorities, trains, and reviews work of assigned military personnel.
    • Assures correct grammar, spelling, format and punctuation of typed material.
