    The USDA Internship Program provides paid work experiences for students to work in the agricultural, science, technology, math, environmental, management, business and other fields. USDA offers internships to students to help them to excel in their chosen fields.
    This position is in the Midwestern Lab in the Office of Public Health Science (OPHS), located in St. Louis, MO. OPHS provides scientific analysis and advice on matters involving public health and science that are of concern to FSIS.

    • Conduct laboratory analytical services in support of the Agency's farm-to-table strategies.
    • Receive training in the principles, concepts, work processes, and regulations.
    • Complete assignments and projects that are designed to provide a basic overview of the various public health science systems, programs, and processes.
    • Adhere to safety and occupational health practices and procedures and maintain a safe and healthful work environment.
    • Complete assignments and work products according to agreed upon specifications and timeframes.
