    The Nursing Assistant will be working in the Mental Health Clinic, Leeds Campus performing a wide variety of clerical, nursing, and supportive duties.

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Interviews patients and records subjective complaints.
    • Measures and records vital signs.
    • Records height and weight.
    • Participates in applicable preventative health care screenings.
    • Assists with physical exams when requested.
    • Obtains laboratory data and results.
    • Acts as a liaison between patient and providers in the Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders Clinics.
    • Facilitates smooth communication and information flow amongst staff and patients for the purpose of better coordination of patient care.
    • Assists patients with questions, complaints, and information relative to administrative procedures. Will resolve administrative problems timely.
    • Will assist in orienting and educating a variety of clinical staff in VA policies and procedures as they pertain to patient care and medical administrative matters.

    Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
