    Summary

    The position is located in the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS), Financial Management Group (FMG), Division of Reimbursement and State Financing (DRSF),

    You will serve as a Statistician responsible for evaluating program data, conducting and evaluating data surveys; performing statistical studies on prices, utilization, and costs related to Medicaid and CHIP programs, and research activities.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide technical consultation and leadership on statistical studies and consult with other analysts or subject matter experts (SME) on aspects of study design, analysis, and interpretation.
    • Analyze and evaluate various periodic statistical reports submitted by States; Identify reporting deficiencies and provide technical assistance to States to address deficiencies.
    • Conduct research and statistical studies or projects related to statistical computation in the preparation of health cost estimates.
    • Develop guidelines and provide authoritative interpretations of statistical policies for various State systems that conform to legislative requirements.
    • Prepare a variety of technical and non-technical documents including comprehensive reports of study results, talking points, guidelines, analytical statistical reports, auditing/inspection reports, etc.
