    About the Position: This position serves as a Supervisory Public Affairs Specialist in Army Futures Command (AFC), Communication Directorate located in Austin, Texas.     Responsibilities

    • Plans, coordinates, and directs proactive national media and community outreach and engagement strategies that promote understanding of the mission.
    • Maintains a constant awareness of media trends and issues and identifies potential for problems, ensuring that complex, technical, and often very politically-sensitive information is presented in a clear, concise, and understandable format.
    • Responsible for the strategic planning, initiation, direction, coordination, staff supervision, evaluation and review of all AFC public affairs information and relations efforts.
    • Performs typical supervisory duties over a staff of senior civilians.
    • Adjusts work assignments, schedules and augmentation staffing to meet objectives.
