    About the Position: The Alaska District is seeking to fill an Interdisciplinary GS-12 position located in the Civil Project Management Branch, Planning Section which has strong and diverse Planning program with studies in all areas of the state. Planning program portfolio includes storm damage reduction, flood risk management, small boat harbor, deep draft navigation, etc. Strong self-starters with strong problem solving skills thrive in this program.

    • Determine scope of projects and study objectives, develop study concepts, and define study elements.
    • Provide technical planning project supporting the Programs and Project Management function. Serve as POC on study management issues and reconnaissance and feasibility phase studies.
    • Manage cost estimates, budget execution, contract progress and final payments. Formulate a public involvement program for each study.
    • Coordinate studies with sponsoring groups and cooperating agencies.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Temporary Travel may be required up to 10%
