As a(n)ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER (TITLE 32), GS-0341-12, you will perform, but are not limited to the following duties;
Oversees the development and execution of long and short range plans and programs. Advises staff regarding policies, procedures, and directives of higher-level management or headquarters. Evaluates organizational readiness reports and develops recommendations for improvement/modification to the organizational priorities based on ever-changing needs of the organization. Analyzes proposed changes and determines effects on organizational readiness and the ability of organization to accomplish assigned missions. Responsible for processing, routing, controlling, expediting and reviewing high level staff papers. Provides instructions and guidance to staff sections in the conduct of daily activities. Reviews, reads and acts on a variety of incoming material such as correspondence signed by general and flag officers, exclusive messages, and other correspondence addressed to the Commanding General. Drafts replies to general inquiries not requiring a technical knowledge of the program; determines items of importance to supervisors of subordinate echelons and refers them as appropriate; establishes controls and follow-up as necessary. Receives from numerous military and civilian offices of the Department of Defense, Departments of the Army and Air Force and other civilian agencies a volume of calls and visits from high ranking officials pertaining to functions and activities of the agency and the office. Employs tact, diplomacy and discretion in determining the identity of the caller, nature of call and directs caller to appropriate officials within the agency or provides required information based on knowledge of activities and or office files. Maintains and administers multiple support budgets for the office. Maintains all files and records. Receives, inputs, monitors, and records all expenditures. Receives, obligates and disperses funds for accounts. Reconciles and audits accounts. Prepares and submits required reports. Resolves problems, issues, and conflicts within the budgets. Sets up controls to monitor expenses during the year and recommends budget adjustments. Responsible for updating standard operating protocol procedures in support of the organization for distinguished visitors. Responsible for continuity of operations for command staff and recommend changes to promote efficient use of resources
