    About the Position: Serves as a first line supervisor, with responsibility to direct 20 professional structural engineers and technical personnel in performing in-house designs, technically reviewing Architect-Engineer (A-E) designs, and providing construction support to field personnel for structural engineering over a seven state area.

    • Involvement with the design of civil works and military projects; reconnaissance, feasibility, design charrettes, pre-construction engineering and design (PED), construction phases through transfer to local interest for operation and maintenance.
    • Work is assigned in terms of broadly defined projects, program goals, and technical objectives.
    • Instructions from the supervisor are limited to policy determinations, relative priorities, budgeting limitations and similar matters.
    • Incumbent is expected to independently plan and execute the work of the Section and to select and establish methods and procedures for accomplishing the work.
    • Completed work is reviewed by the incumbent for efficiency and effectiveness in fulfilling objectives and conformance with policies.

    25% or less - You may be expected to travel 25% for this position.
