Basic Requirement for Operations Research 1515 : Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in operations research; or a degree with at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
Basic Requirement for Mathematics 1520: A. Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in mathematics; or a degree with the equivalent of a major that included at least 24 semester hours in mathematics. The total course work must have included differential and integral calculus and, in addition, four advanced mathematics courses requiring calculus or equivalent mathematics courses as a prerequisite. Basic Requirement for Statistician 1530: A. Basic Requirement for Computer Science 1550: A. Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in computer science or bachelor's degree (or higher degree) with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus.

Specialized Experience for GS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes: Basic knowledge of Programs and Project management principles, and scheduling concepts, to include Critical Path Method. Specialized Experience for GS-09: One year of specialized experience which includes: Knowledge of Programs and Project management principles, and the project delivery business process. To include working in conjunction with teams for the development of multiyear project schedules from initiation to completion. Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot scheduling errors within enterprise systems and make recommendations in order to mitigate project schedule risk. Ability to analyze project data to discover trends and communicate to Project Manager and leadership any findings. Basic knowledge of budgeting process and the project life cycle. Sought opportunities to automate and consistently deliver project data to team members.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent
