    About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-APF-W2TZ05 HUMAN RES MANAGEMENT DIR.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as the Army Futures Command (AFC) Special Access Program (SAP) Government SAP Officer (GSO) security specialist in the office of the Directorate of Intelligence (DoI).
    • Responsible for the development and implementation of the SAP program and processes.
    • Serve as GSO and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SAP security providing expert and authoritative advice and recommendations to the Command Security Manager (CSM) for all AFC SAP-related matters.
    • Ensure that the command security program philosophy, techniques and regulatory requirements are used to resolve routine to complex security policy and procedural problems related to SAP programs throughout AFC.
    • Manage the command Special Access Program for the command.
    • Make persuasive recommendations which typically result in agreement to improve specific SAP administration functions.
    • Serve as alternate Special Security Officer (SSO) for AFC.

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel up to 20% business based travel per year.
