    Summary

    The Engineering Service Laborer maintains and installs systems furniture at the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center located in Spokane, Washington, including leased office space and associated Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs).

    Responsibilities

    • Utilizes hand-held power equipment such as hand drills and circular saws, and tools such as hammers and levels to install systems furniture.
    • Moves heavy freight, furniture, supplies, and equipment by use of hand trucks or other moving equipment.
    • Packs, loads, and/or unloads heavy bulky materials, equipment, and boxes delivered to the facility.
    • Inventories furniture in the warehouse and maintains the warehouse's stock of furniture.
    • Performs back-up duties such as: shovels snow, sand and debris debris; cuts and clears small trees and brush along roads and fences; performs trimming, grass cutting, grounds equipment maintenance; exterior trash pickup; snow removing, deicing, etc.
    • Serves as a Contracting Officers Representative (COR).
    • Maintains status as a Government Purchase Card (GPC) cardholder
    Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
