    Responsibilities

    • Incumbent serves as a professional engineer in a Contract Management Office (CMO) of the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA).
    • Apply the DCMA engineering surveillance performance indicators to assess the contractor?s performance and provide feedback to the Chief Engineer (CE).
    • Analyze trends in performance indicator scores to assist the CE with managing Agency level performance indicators, recommending corrective action, establishing lessons learned, and influencing the improvement of contractor processes.
    • Evaluate contractor manufacturing and design processes for implementation of engineering best practices.
    • Implement agency policy and provides engineering support; conducts engineering surveillance and analysis.
    • Prepare, provide, and evaluate documentation regarding specific engineering and manufacturing questions requiring resolution
    • Conduct systems engineering surveillance including research, design, development, test and production; monitor contractor engineering management systems; and provide technical recommendations on substantive changes in any of the above areas.

    Occasional travel - Business Travel is required 5% of the time.
