    About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US Army Future's Command in Austin, TX.

    Responsibilities

    • Leads Intelligence Operational, System and technical Architecture matters for the assigned modernization area.
    • Subject matter expert on the application of DoD and Army Architecture policies, procedures and implementation standards to the Army Modernization Efforts.
    • Evaluates program documentation to ascertain compliance with policy and program eligibility to progress through the major milestone review(s).
    • Monitors project timelines and performs negotiations with other Modernization Divisions to ensure the overall Modernization Architecture(s) meet the Modernization objectives
    • Researches and recommends alternatives for operational /system /technical architecture developments and/or improvements.
    • Facilitates and publishes architecture development methodologies and process guides within the Army Futures Command.

    Travel Required

    25% or less - May require Temporary Duty (TDY) travel to locations both within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS) up to 25% of the time.
