    The VA Maryland Health Care System (VAMHCS) is a Level I tertiary multi campus teaching facility affiliated with the University of Maryland, School of Medicine and over 100 educational institutions. The VAMHCS consists of the acute care Baltimore facility; the multi building Perry Point campus with acute medicine, mental health and long term care; the Loch Raven campus with long term care; and six urban and rural outpatient clinics.

    The Loch Raven Community Living Center is located on a park-like campus in northeast Baltimore close to Lake Montebello. It is a short ride from the Baltimore Beltway and offers ample, free parking and bus service is easily accessible with a bus stop located at the entrance to the facility.

    The RN functions interdependently in carrying out the nursing process, nursing orders, policies and procedures as they relate to the residents plan of care. The nurse demonstrates leadership in delivering and improving holistic care through collaborative strategies with others. The nurse serves as a role model when functioning as team leader or charge nurse under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or designee. The nurse collaborates with other members of the interdisciplinary treatment team in planning, developing and coordinating the care for the residents and their family. The position is accountable to the Nurse Manager.
