    Summary

    All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with the VA. In addition, any offer of employment will be rescinded with a verified positive drug test result. VA employees in drug testing designated position are also subject to post appointment random drug testing.

    Responsibilities

    Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (7:30am - 4:00pm); with flexibility to meet patient and unit needs.

    The Caregiver Support Coordinator (CSC) provides leadership and guidance for the development of the caregiver support program at the facility level. Drawing upon his/her clinical and administrative expertise and knowledge of health care programs, and in collaboration with the healthcare team, the incumbent is responsible for program functions that support the clinical, research, and education missions of the VA.

    The major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Responsible for the clinical programming and daily operations of the program, as well as, for the management of data related to the program at the facility level.
    • Responsible for developing and establishing linkages and collaborate on VA caregiver support efforts with community healthcare and social service agencies.
    • Conducts home visits of veteran/caregiver to ensure they have everything they need to be safe and successful in the home setting.
