    The purpose of this position is to provide assistance in the Outpatient Unit, Ambulatory Care & Processing Division, of the Patient Administration Department in the Mental Health Department and Community Based Outpatient Clinics (Kenosha, Evanston, and McHenry CBOCs). The incumbent assures that the administrative staff are trained and guided in order to meet the needs of veterans, active duty, and other eligible beneficiaries.

    Coordinates with the staff to perform numerous registration and Joint Patient Registration (DoD Personnel), pre-registration, means tests, appointment schedules, scheduling special studies or tests, eligibility determination, release of medical information, notifying patients of appointments and clinic cancelations. Duties include, but are not limited to:
    Provides input on guidelines and performance expectations.Distributes and balances workload.
    Monitors status and progress of work on a daily basis.
    Observes employee performance; demonstrates and conducts work performance critiques.
    Provides administrative and technical support.
    Orients and provides on-the-job training for new and current employees.
    Checks on work in progress and spot checks work.
    Instructs employees in specific tasks and job techniques.
    Resolves informal complaints and grievances.
    Reports to supervisor on performance, progress, training needs of employees, and behavior problems.

    Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
