The incumbent serves as a physician supervisor and serves and provides comprehensive clinical services to veterans and their families . The incumbent will perform general psychiatric assessment and treatment in a multi-disciplinary setting composed of psychiatrists, psychologists, psychiatric social workers, nurses, physician extenders and a variety of rehabilitation/recovery therapists.
- Approximately 30% of Administrative/Supervisory Responsibilities. Has direct administrative and professional supervision of the following Psychiatric providers and physician extenders in inpatient mental health as well as other mental health disciplines as may become necessary for effective clinic functioning.
- Approximately 70% Clinical Responsibility. Reports to the Chief of Mental Health, and largely operates on a day-to-day basis in an independent manner, with full responsibility to keep the supervisor apprised of activities and any issues in need of close collaboration. Other duties can be stretch assignments as delegated to include time-limited assignments.
Work Schedule: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (Tour of duty may include extended hours and on-call to meet the needs of Veterans)
