    Summary

    You will serve as an INTERDISCIPLINARY ENVIRONMENTAL/PHYSICAL SCIENTIST/BIOLOGIST in the Environmental Compliance Branch of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

    Responsibilities

    • You will assess environmental program processes and recommend solutions or improvements.
    • You will conduct environmental management system (EMS) audits to prioritize and correct deficiencies.
    • You will review Environmental Assessments (EA's) and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS's) to ensure consistency with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) directives.
    • You will develop standards, policies, and directives to provide guidance on compliance with environmental protection laws and regulations to staff.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Travel is dependent on position description and the availability of command funding.
