    Serves as an Operations Research Analyst assigned to CEPE, responsible for conducting scientifically based cost estimates and quantitative analyses of NNSA programs and projects to justify cost, scope and schedule baselines as reported to Congress.  Cost and schedule estimates cover life cycle from research and development through demonstration, deployment, and sustainment.

    As an Operations Research Analyst, you will:

    • Provide professional, technical, and subject matter expertise and management advice on cost and program evaluation methods, processes, systems, and functional objectives to the CEPE Director.
    • Create policy guidance and direction for cost estimation, program evaluation, and data collection throughout the NNSA.
    • Recommend initiatives to establish a PPBE process, cost analysis, and program evaluation capability in NNSA and provides guidance, analysis, and methodology for use across the NNSA in programming, budgeting, and resource allocation.
    • Review and evaluate program goals and objectives and recommends major projects and studies to be initiated, delayed, or terminated pending emphasis on higher priority projects.

    Travel Required

    25% or less - Occasional travel may be required for this position.
