For this position, the incumbent is responsible for the following job duties to include but not limited to:
- Receives various types of hard copies and electronic correspondence, reports, and memorandums pertaining to such subjects as law, economics, water rights, appropriations, construction, land classification, power development and leasing, accounting, procurement, administration, and other subjects pertaining to Reclamation records.
- Performs analysis of correspondence, reports, and memorandums subject matter, assign proper classification/cross references using the Data Tracking System (DTS). The incumbent is responsible for the accuracy and correctness of data before it is entered into the DTS.
- Segregates and arranges documents according to the action office, project or subject matter, and classification code; ensures filing systems and correspondence are accurately maintained.
- Retrieves documents and folders from central files to meet customer requests, ensuring accurate tracking mechanisms for locating and returning documents are utilized.
- Performs research and review of semi-active and permanent records in filing systems; conducts inventories and labels materials for storage or retrieval, applying retention schedules to record and non-record files and preparing materials for transfer to National Records Center (NRC), National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and/or disposal.
- Maintains supplies and ensures supply inventory is updated; performs driving services and responds to driving requests; micro purchasing and, coordinates mail and package delivery services.
- Credit card purchase authority for Washington Office, works with vendors and responsible for purchase documentation (invoices, orders, and receipts).
