    This position is located in the Policy and Awareness Program, Cyber Operations Division, Office of Cyber Monitoring and Operations, Cyber and Technology Security Directorate, Diplomatic Security Service, Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS/CTS/CMO/CO).

    As a Cybersecurity Policy Specialist, the incumbent is responsible for developing, reviewing, maintaining, and interpreting cybersecurity policies and standards that ensure protection of the Department’s global IT infrastructure.

    • Develops, coordinates, monitors, and maintains cybersecurity policies and standards that ensure the protection of an organizations systems and networks.
    • Recommends the revision or updating of existing policies and standards or the development of new policies or standards to replace current policies and standards where appropriate.
    • Works in close cooperation with other involved in cybersecurity policy activities to ensure consistency and applicability of cybersecurity policies and standards across organizational and program lines.
    • Prepares training and awareness briefings on new cybersecurity policy development initiatives and conducts briefings and training sessions as tasked.

    25% or less - Occasional travel may be required.
