    Summary

    You will serve as a MECHANICAL ENGINEER in the Hull, Deck and Auxiliary Systems Division (SEA05Z4) in the Marine Engineering Group (05Z) of the Naval Sea Systems Engineering Directorate (SEA 05) of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT.

    Responsibilities

    • You will serve as the Engineering Manager for Weapons and Cargo Handling and Aviation Support Systems,
    • You will support Weapons and Aircraft Elevators, Shipboard Weapons Handling Systems, Cranes, Cargo Handling and Stowage, Hangar Doors, Flight Deck Safety Nets, and other Support System components,
    • You will identify and secure commitment of program funds to provide laboratory and contractor technical support and headquarters oversight,
    • You will serve as the U.S. Navy?s Technical Representative, and serve on Joint Service Panels, Data Review Panels, regulatory Boards, and Integrated Product Teams,
    • You will plan and manage complex Weapons and Cargo Handling and Aviation Support Systems development, and support programs interaction with a variety of organizations, contractors, laboratories, and field activities,
    • You will evaluate and incorporate the latest development of Weapons and Cargo Handling and Aviation Support Systems in the field into technical plans, proposals and specifications,
    • You will implement new developments into design, fabrication, testing and maintenance requirements.
