This position reports to the Director, AFRCO and serves as the Director of Contracting for the AFRCO. In addition to primary duties as the AFRCO Director of Contracting, the incumbent provides oversight and general guidance to Air Force field contracting units on Special Access Program (SAP) issues at the Air Force HQ level on behalf of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Acquisition (Contracting) (DAS(C)). As the AFRCO Director of Contracting, the incumbent oversees the obligation of over $4B annually on mostly classified programs. The incumbent provides Business and Contract Clearance for all Special Access and all other programs at the AFRCO. The incumbent also provides oversight and general SAP guidance to Air Force field units on Special Access programs to include occasional Business and Contract Clearance or other SCO responsibilities for unique contracting circumstances as required. When required, assists the DAS(C) as Special Advisor to COCO/SCO for unique SAP contracting circumstances and serves as a senior contracting advisor to the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition for Special Access Program matters when required. This position is designated Emergency Essential. In the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent, or designated alternate, must continue to perform the Emergency Essential duties until relieved by proper authority

Tax Law Impact for PCS: On 22-Dec-2017, Public Law 115-97 - the "Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 suspended qualified moving expense deductions along with the exclusion for employer reimbursements and payments of moving expenses effective 01-Jan-2018 for tax years 2018 through 2025.
