This position is located within the Office of Administrative Law Judges Dispute Resolution (OALJDR). The OALJDR is charged with resolving cases set forth for hearing concerning natural gas, oil, electric, and hydroelectric matters, and for doing so in a manner which is consistent with the public interest, protects customers, and promotes competitive markets.
Major Duties for the Paralegal Specialist:
Demonstrates broad and substantive understanding of litigation and settlement processes. Demonstrates solid technical skills in a variety of support functions, including managing case-related documents and evidence using a variety of hardware and software tools.
Demonstrates ability to perform automated and manual factual and industry research, including use of various online and database facilities. Displays the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using appropriate language, and organizing and conveying facts and ideas clearly, concisely, and objectively.
Creates and supports document databases/indexes, transcripts and other documents, analyzes appropriate data from Commission documents and inputs into the ATMS database application.
