    About the Position: This Civil Engineer/Land Surveyor position is located at the Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District.

    A highly desired Land Surveyor will have a current registration as a land surveyor or equivalent.

    The initial cut-off for referral consideration is February 11, 2019; applications received by this date will be reviewed and referred for selection first. Applications received after this date will be given consideration as vacancies occur.

    • Assist with negotiating and administering professional surveying service contracts in conjunction with procurement, legal, and estimating specialists.
    • Assist with surveys for design and construction including design data surveys, route surveys, as built surveys and quantity surveys; providing information for planning or developing comprehensive engineering projects and estimating cost thereof.
    • Assist with cadastral surveys on projects in connection with land acquisition and retracement of existing boundaries.
    • Assist with construction of topographic maps of any scale, contour interval, or accuracy specifications, including all surveying procedures and calculations required for map construction.

    Travel Required

    50% or less - You may be expected to travel up to 50% for this position.
