    About the Position: This position is for an Interdisciplinary Mega Project Manager for the US Army Corps of Engineers Detroit District located in Detroit Michigan. Serves as the Project Manager for a Mega Project utilizing expert professional engineering knowledge to manage all facets of customer interface and program execution.

    Responsibilities

    • Review and evaluate the status of regional and national USACE support for a billion dollar design and construction project.
    • Participate in conferences/briefings and represents the district dealing with the local, state, and municipal authorities for project.
    • Participate in defining project goals and in preparing a master plan for accomplishment
    • Responsible to assure optimum product cost, schedule, scope, acquisition plan, budget, qualify control and execution
    • Responsible for financial execution and schedule management
    • Serves as spokesperson for the project assigned and coordinates activities with customers and other outside interests to include sate, local and community and elected officials, other Federal agencies, new media and members of the public.

    Travel Required

    25% or less - Business travel may be required up to 20% of the time.
