    About the Position: You will serve as the Acting of the Chief Regulatory Branch within the Operations Division, responsible for administering and enforcing the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Regulatory Program in the Savannah District.

    Multiple applicants may serve shorter appointments, for example, two applicants for a 6 month appointment each.

    This position will not be extended beyond the NTE 1 year mark. Position will NOT be made permanent without further competition.

    • Manages the regulatory program in compliance with governing public laws, regulations, interagency agreements, and policies of higher headquarters.
    • Supervises major functions which consist of permit processing (application evaluation, permit compliance and permit notification), enforcement processes (where there are unauthorized activities) and programmatic initiatives and requirements.
    • Act as senior technical advisor on all regulatory matters.
    • Serve as liaison with other District elements, South Atlantic Division, Corps Headquarters including other Federal, State and Local government agencies.

    25% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position.
