    You will serve as a Civil Engineer (Structural) in the Capital Improvements Business Line of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH.

    • Develops or conducts development of complete working drawing and specifications for "design bid build" projects and development of Request for Proposal (RFP) for "design build" projects.
    • Responsible for providing design support prior to construction award and provides the successful management of any and all post-award aspects of the construction portion for the projects assigned.
    • Directs in-house teams and/or Architect-Engineer (A-E) contractors responsible for studies; design of projects through concept development; preparation of both final "design bid build" and "design build" construction bid documents and provides construction support.
    • Directs the day-to-day development of large and/or politically sensitive projects; manages project schedules; coordinates the activities of professional architects, engineers and planners involved with each project in diverse specialty areas; monitors the technical review given by team members; provides technical information; conducts meetings and makes presentations to people from within the Command and other organizations; prepares feasibility studies of initial scopes for clients; establishes program requirements and determines and manages budgets required; and conducts or directs surveys and investigations of building sites to determine the condition of structures to secure necessary data prior to initiating design.
    • Coordinates with other technical disciplines to insure that all technical areas are covered and that total building design objectives and schedules are met.
    • Serves as part of the Source Selection Technical Evaluation Panels (TEP) supporting the acquisition process.
