    About the Position:
    As an Interdisciplinary Engineer/Architect you will work under the general supervision of the Resident Engineer, performing assigned duties.

    • Reviews Contractor submittals including shop drawings, samples, data, and other pertinent information.
    • Participates in the review and assessment of the validity of contractor's claims and requests for equitable adjustment, consulting with Resident Engineer, ACO or District Personnel as required.
    • Reviews and monitors Contractors construction progress and submitted schedules and requests for payment and makes recommendations regarding approval of payment estimates based on construction progress achieved and quality of work.
    • Makes investigations and site visits to develop solutions to problems encountered during construction, using engineering and industry handbooks, agency and customer technical manuals and bulletins as guidance.
    • Assures that Contractor discusses hazard analysis during 3-phase meetings, and that requirements are implemented in construction. Conducts or participates in Pre-Construction Safety Conference.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel pproximately 20% of the time for this position.
