    Summary

    You will serve as a SUPERVISORY BIOLOGIST/ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER/PHYSICAL SCIENTIST in the ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING AND CONSERVATION DIVISION (EV2) of NAVFAC Headquarters OSF. This position is the Director of the Division. You will directly supervise and lead a team of technical experts that administer the Environmental Planning, Natural Resources Conservation and Cultural Resources Conservation Programs at NAVFAC.

    Responsibilities

    • You will monitor environmental planning and conservation programs for compliance with federal, state, and local policies for planning and the conservation and management of natural and cultural resources.
    • You will interpret environmental regulations to provide clarification, management, and implementation of regulatory compliance.
    • You will translate environmental scientific and technological concepts into options for senior leaders.
    • You will assign work to junior employees based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, or capabilities.
    • You will provide technical leadership for a community of Environmental Planning and Conservation professionals located at NAVFAC field components worldwide.

    Travel Required

    25% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position.
