We are searching for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to provide high-quality, customer-focused support to all 85 American ABMC employees located in 11 countries around the world. The incumbent of this position serves as a Human Resources (HR) Specialist responsible for providing the full range of HR services to all American staff in ABMC, providing the the full range of personnel, employee relations, and pay administration services. Duties include:
Classification - Provides a full range of position management and classification advisory services to assist ABMC managers regarding US (Title 5) employees.
Staffing - Provides staffing/recruitment services and advises, identifies and analyzes staffing issues and problems. Manages all Title 5 recruitment for the agency. Coordinates with management related to personnel issues such as reduction-in-force, hours of work, changes in working conditions, leave administration, pay entitlements, etc. Conducts studies and address their long-range implication on recruitment and policy.
Employee Relations - Provides advice and assistance in establishing and maintaining employer-employee relationships that contribute to satisfactory productivity, motivation, morale, and discipline. Conducts surveys and explores probable causes, contributing factors, and possible courses of action to resolve problems and better relationships. Assists supervisors in correcting work deficiencies, poor performance, and/or leave abuse. Informs supervisors of regulatory and other requirements to be considered in effecting disciplinary actions, removals, suspensions, and in resolving grievances and appeals related to formal disciplinary actions taken, and assists in development of required correspondence/documents.
Benefits - Provides authoritative technical advice, guidance, support, and interpretation on benefits programs to ABMC staff. Ensures all benefits-related changes are processed in a timely and correct manner. Develops and promulgates guidance to ABMC staff.
Payroll - Troubleshoots and resolves payroll problems utilizing payroll, personnel, and timekeeping systems to identify discrepancies and take corrective action. Receives, investigates, and in coordination with the personnel and payroll provider resolves individual payroll complaints from customers.
Employee Development - Identifies competency gaps between positions requirements and incumbent's level of knowledge, skill, and abilities working with supervisors to schedule training, establish individual training plans (IDPs) and otherwise support alignment of employee capabilities with mission execution.
