    About the Position: Defense Contract Management Agency uses the Expedited Hiring Authority to recruit and appoint qualified individuals directly into shortage category or critical need acquisition positions.

    • Performs price and cost analyses on the various elements of major contractor proposals, reviewing in detail the significant direct and indirect cost elements such as: material; labor; overhead; general and administrative expenses.
    • Analyzes available data such as direct labor hours; the contractors past performance; costs of previous procurements; and/or standards and other techniques in producing like or similar items.
    • Forecasts price trends, economic factors and efficiencies in production for future accounting periods using analytical techniques such as random sampling, cost models, learning curves, and parametric cost models.
    • Evaluates technical, audit reports, and legal opinions to determine the reasonableness of the various cost elements or justified exceptions in terms of factors such as risk, extent of government assistance, and problems of capital investment.
    • Reviews and evaluates contract price proposals for adequacy and compliance with laws and regulations, and with the Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).

    25% or less - Business travel up to 25% of the time.
