    The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Logistics Management Specialist. Researches, develops, coordinates, and publishes, policy and guidance for the National Guard's systems for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and high yield Explosive (CBRNE) response teams and domestic emergency management missions.

    • Responsible for correlating requirements with program plans to assure that the needed equipment and support is provided at the right time and place.
    • The incumbent employs a broad knowledge of joint logistics fundamentals and principles as they apply to various support systems and sustainment actions for the Consequence Management Support Center (CoMSupCen) and related facilities.
    • The incumbent analyzes and interprets procurement regulations and legal requirements, and on occasion assembles review teams or working groups for regulatory and/or legal changes.
    • Incumbent advises the National Guard Bureau Joint Staff Director of Logistics and Engineering on equipment sustainment and logistics readiness for National Guard domestic response units.
    • Performs duties as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). Responsible for knowledge regarding the requirements of contract management.
    • Incumbent reviews equipment readiness, sustainment, and accountability to coordinate materiel maintenance and supply policies in support of specialized National Guard domestic response units.
    • Prepares and delivers oral presentations, briefings, training sessions, consultations, and strategy sessions, with other functions and activities to secure cooperation, resolve controversial matters, and inform proposed changes in assigned program(s)

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
