    Summary

    OIG is organized into three line elements: the Offices of Investigations, Audits and Evaluations, and Healthcare Inspections; along with the Office of Contract Review, the Office of Management and Administration and the Office of Special Reviews. In addition to the Washington, DC, headquarters, OIG has offices located in more than 30 cities throughout the country.

    This position is located in the Office of Management and Administration, Operations Division.

    Responsibilities

     As a Contract Specialist, you will:

    - Plan, analyze, and evaluate proposals and contracts for pre- and post-award compliance, and review proposed and completed contractual actions for conformance with regulatory requirements and accepted procurement practices.

    - Work with mid- and senior level managers to develop, implement, execute contract and acquisition plans for the next budgetary cycle to achieve strategic planning goals.

    - Develop and maintain comprehensive plans detailing responses to long-range programmatic and agency goals. 

    - Draft procurement and acquisition directives for the VA OIG and provide formal comments on proposed changes to VA procurement and acquisition policies.
