    Summary

    The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), is pleased to announce a Biologist (Biological Sciences Editor). This position serves as Biological Sciences Editor of the scientific journal, Environmental Health Perspectives (EHP) and as science advisor to the Editor-in-Chief.     Responsibilities

    • Monitors and analyzes recent developments in the scientific disciplines of physiology, biochemistry, and environmental toxicology.
    • Plans, designs, and writes a variety of scientific articles, reports, and news stories for EHP.
    • Plans and holds meetings with scientific experts that are responsible for the best and newest scientific advances in biological sciences.
    • Attends national and international meetings and symposia that relate to appropriate journal coverage of scientific material.
    • Acts as a liaison between scientific colleagues and the journal.
    • Solicits scientific articles for EHP by personal communication with expert environmental scientists.
    • Accepts or rejects articles submitted for publication in EHP in the biological sciences.
    • Formulates journal policies and advises the Editor-in-Chief on scientific and editiorial matters related to EHP.
