    Summary

    You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/ARCHITECT, GS-0808/0810/0830/0850-12 in the Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Division (FEAD) of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD FAR EAST.

    Pay retention may be granted when certain conditions are met.

    Recruitment incentives may be authorized to eligible new hires.

    Responsibilities

    • You will perform as the Lead Construction Management Engineer with responsibility for acting as primary Government liaison with contractors and clients for assigned projects.
    • You will review construction management process to ensure that the goals of Naval Facilities Far East (NAVFAC FE), Public Works Department (PWD) Sasebo are consistently and uniformly met on all active contracts.
    • You will perform constructability reviews of the contract documents (e.g. plans and specifications) before contract award.
    • You will perform quality assurance of the work in progress and initiates necessarily actions to correct deficiencies in the work and in the contractor's quality control program

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
