    Under the direction of the Secretary of Defense and the Undersecretary of Defense for Policy (USD(P)), and pursuant to the 2015 National Defense Authorization Act, the Defense Prisoner of War/Missing Personnel Office, the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command, and the Life Sciences Equipment Laboratory were combined in January 2015, into a single defense Agency- the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA).

    Your typical work assignments may include the following:

    • Coordinates protocol operations and official social events to ensure all official visitors have required logistics and administrative support to meet the visit goals of the dignitary and of the Agency
    • Analyzes and develops recommendations and instructions for conducting protocol visits, identifying potential problem areas such as logistics, security and cultural preferences of Distinguished Visitors /Very Important People, and working toward their resolution in a timely and effective manner
    • Provides direction based on training, education, experience, expertise and knowledge of the individuals involved
    • Plans official ceremonies and social events and ensures international protocol and social customs are applied

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
