    This position is located in the Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Office of the Deputy Commissioner for Fiscal Accounting & Shared Services. The incumbent serves as a key senior analyst and policy advisor to the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioners of the Bureau of the Fiscal Service.

    Responsibilities

    As a Senior Policy Advisor, you will:

    • Serve as a key senior advisor, providing sound expert level advice, guidance, and support to the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioners, senior management within the program offices, and internal and external stakeholders on critical matters pertaining to the financial management policies, priorities, and program direction of the Bureau
    • Plan, initiate, and conduct complex and high-priority studies and assignments at the direction of the Commissioner and the Deputy Commissioner (Fiscal Accounting and Shared Services) involving extensive research, fact-finding, and program improvements on a variety of high-level and emerging subjects of direct and critical importance to the Bureau and the Department
    • Coordinates efforts with internal and external stakeholders in the development of policies and procedures needed to achieve the 10-year financial management vision

    Occasional travel - 1-5 nights per month
