    The Miami VA Healthcare system is seeking a board eligible, board certified Neurologist specializing in multiple sclerosis. Fellowship training in multiple sclerosis subspecialty is preferred. This individual will join another 5 full-time neurologists as part of the Neurology Service. The service provides neurology consultation support throughout the hospital.

    Primary duties are to perform full general neurological examinations on established or newly consulted patients in the Multiple sclerosis clinic, General Neurology clinics, inpatient wards or Emergency Department. The individual would head the Multiple Sclerosis Center of Excellence at our facility and direct the weekly infusion clinic for multiple sclerosis immune-modulating therapies.

    In addition to these clinical duties, the Miami VAMC works closely with the Department of Neurology at the University of Miami (UM) Miller School of Medicine. The faculty at Miami VAMC also have academic appointments at UM Miller School of Medicine. The applicant, if deciding to join the Miami VAMC, would apply for the faculty position once on board at the Miami VAMC. The Faculty of Miami VAMC are involved in teaching and clinical research activities. Teaching responsibilities include resident and medical student supervision during their rotation at the Miami VAMC.

    Work Schedule: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
