    ORGANIZATIONAL LOCATION: Department of Health & Health Human Services (HHS), Indian Health Service (IHS), Southwest Region, Phoenix Area, Medical Services, Fort Yuma Service Unit, located in Winterhaven, California.Position is supervised by the Supervisory Physician (Clinical Director).

    Major Duties:

    • Responsible for recruitment and hiring of employees, disciplines employees, identifying training needs and reviewing and updating budget for pharmacy services.
    • Develops and ensures pharmacy policies and procedures are within compliance. Responsible for decisions with regards to budget, equipment, and process management.
    • Review and properly documents patient charts for appropriateness of treatment, drug interactions, proper dosage and compliance with dispensing medications, side effects, and proper storage.
    • Provides patient education to patients and families in a privacy setting.
