    The primary purpose of these Air Reserve Technician (ART) Enlisted positions is to serve as an Aircraft Mechanic in an aircraft maintenance organization of an Air Force Reserve unit. As an Aircraft Mechanic, the incumbent will perform duties such as:

    Responsibilities

    · Installing, adjusting, aligning, inspecting, troubleshooting, and final functional and operational tests on a variety of major aircraft systems, their assemblies, and components such as airframe, landing
    gear, wheel and tire, power plant, gear boxes, pumps, and hydraulic, pressurization, utility, fuel, oil, pneumatic, and flight control systems.
    · Towing, launching and recovering aircraft
    · Documenting work performed on appropriate forms and systems.
    · Initiating requisitions for needed parts and supplies.
    · Providing on-the-job training to lower graded aircraft workers and others in related trades on aircraft maintenance procedures.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Position may require incumbent to fly in military and/or commercial aircraft in the performance of temporary duty (TDY) assignments
