    The primary purpose of this position is to provide examination, evaluation, diagnosis/assessment, treatment, evidence based intervention and medical management.

    Responsibilities

    • Select, fit and establish effective use of and/or training in procurement of appropriate adaptive equipment for normal activities of daily living. Provide services to individuals with physical impairments
    • Educate/counsel individuals regarding physical functional limitations in work, sport or activities of daily living. Maintain clinical documentation to include reports of diagnostic evaluation
    • May supervise physical therapist, physical therapy assistants and aides, and physical medicine journeyman and craftsman. Perform research to validate current practice standards and/or implement pre-established professional practice standards
    • Formulate training objectives, develops standards and general procedures for clinical supervision of physical therapy graduate students IAW APTA clinical performance instruction (CPI) guidelines during student clinical affiliations
    • Direct and coordinate with staff in designing ad conducting specialized research/case studies to further professional knowledge, operations and enhancements within physical therapy career-field
