    Summary

    You will serve as a Records and Information Management Specialist in the directorate Maritime Operations (DMO), Corporate Operations Department (N9), Knowledge Management Division (N93), Record Management Branch (N93) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.

    Responsibilities

    • You will coordinate with personnel in creating an electronic archive.
    • You will manage essential records (e.g., the identification of such records, establishing their protection, access in support) of Continuity of Operations.
    • You will perform staff assistance visits to all offices of record, to ensure understanding, compliance, and proper maintenance of records.
    • You will interpret policies and guidelines for records support programs.
    • You will execute changes to records management policies and practices to support mission and ensure compliance with directives and regulations.
    • You will develop methods, strategies, and plans to achieve and maintain an effective and efficient records management program.
    • You will review and control MSC forms maintains up-to-date master file of directives, forms, and reports.
    • You will survey records management methods or procedures to prepare for audits or inspections.
    • You will administer training to personnel responsible for creating and maintaining records.
    • You will represent the agency on issues related to records and information management.
    • You will design new and revised forms and determines conten, usage, method of reproduction, and related matters.
