    Responsibilities

    As a Supervisory General Engineer, you will perform the following duties:

    • Serve as Platform Acquisitions Division (PAD) Director with responsibilities including reviewing exceptionally difficult and technical programs to ensure compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and conducting policy analysis of engineering.
    • Provide ship design expertise, project management, administrative management, budget management and supervision of ship design, construction and contract management while monitoring and assessing preparation, shipyard major design and construction efforts related to price, performance, and schedule adherence.
    • Develop plans, including budget and manpower resources for short and long term goals and objectives.
    • Plan, develop and execute acquisition milestones necessary to support major technical support and shipyard production Federal contracts, particularly as a Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR).
    • Manage and supervise project management professionals involved in engineering, contract management, design and construction oversight and administration.

    25% or less - Up to 25% of domestic travel may be required for this position.
