As a Recreation Assistant (Lifeguard), NF-0189-02 , the incumbents is responsible for:
Selective Placement Factors
1. A current and active Lifeguard certification from the American Red Cross or a nationally recognized equivalent, such as Star Guard or Ellis (you MUST submit a copy of your certification. Failure to upload a copy of your certification will result in you being rated Not Qualified).
2. A current and active American Red Cross "Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional; CPR for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent (i.e. Star Guard or Ellis) certification (you MUST submit a copy of your certification. Failure to upload a copy of your certification will result in you being rated Not Qualified).

This position is a Flexible position. You may be regularly scheduled or scheduled on an as needed basis, but there are no guaranteed hours. Flex employees are not entitled to leave or benefits.
These are "seasonal" positions. Selectees will be inprocessed upon selection; however, will not receive a schedule until shortly before Memorial Day through Labor Day. After Labor Day, the incumbent may remain an employee; however, he/she will not be scheduled until the following pool season.
